April 2024 update

Hey, all!

I'm excited to update y'all on the last month. First up is our student testimony from UTD. Take a peak and read Darreyl's story.

2nd to last peer team meeting in early April! I took these pictures as we had to "seek shelter" when the tornado siren went off. Luckily, the siren was short lived. Peer team is when Reagann and I come up with spiritual enrichment and development for the student leaders we meet with. We were reading through an article by Lewis Smedes on the Power of Promising. We were also laughing a lot together.

Our last peer team meeting ended with a prayer and group hug! What a sweet group of girls God gave us to faithfully lead and love like Jesus this year. They made such a special impact on our community and campuses.
Playing disc-golf with my homie Grace. She and I have facilitated core together this semester. I've loved us getting to be friends! She's done a fantastic job handling lots of challenges this year and remaining faithful to God's calling for her and others.
My husband Grant being held up by some of our FOCUS guys at Church retreat. They had recently gone fishing and Grant was brave enough to touch a couple of crappie fish!
My sweet friend and ministry partner, Faye, and her daughter and also my friend, Allison, were sweet enough to host Grant and I to watch the eclipse. It was so beautiful! All 4 of us were praising God at such a miraculous thing.

Grant, holding down our spot for the eclipse at Faye's apartment complex
Sarah, a sweet gal in our ministry and my core! Grace, my co-facilitator made sure Sarah's birthday was special by getting her this cake :)
There were a handful of days I was out with covid. When it was nice out, I made sure not to take for granted God's creation. Look at this sunset!

Prayer requests:

- Finding new ministry partners for our staff and that our denton staff would be fully fundraised :) Especially for the parents on our denton staff!
- SICM - please pray for safe travel, pray against sickness and injuries, for open hearts and minds, and for students to be equipped by the love of Christ and to enact the love of Christ wherever they go :)
