August 2025 update

Hey! I'm excited to tell you y'all about the busy month of August. Please continue to pray for wisdom for our staff and openness to the gospel. The harvest is plentiful! We had around 300 our first fellowship night. We're so grateful for your prayers and financial partnership.

First up, our student testimony from Kathryn at UTD. Fun fact: I actually got to drive her around at SICM last year and hear about her spiritual journey and I got to drive her little brother around and hear about his spiritual journey! God has been so faithful through students and staff at UTD FOCUS. I love that I get to hear about God's goodness across the metroplex.

Here are some photos I took from a very busy August. I'm sorry I'm not usually in them, I like being behind the camera more than in front of it :)

A picture I took at an event we planned called Clark Park Campout :) We had Ryan and Cathryn sing covers of songs at a field near one of the dorms and the students loved it. We had so many people show up because they saw us. This s Jourdan on the left, one of our student leaders meeting a new student named Manuel!

A blurry picture of Cathryn and Ryan from our staff singing Noah Khan songs. We were able to share about FOCUS, about what God is doing and how we want to invite people to know Jesus more and be transformed by him!

This is our homemade FOCUS sign that Grant and I made with blue butcher paper, post it notes, and glue. This was during Mean Green Fling where about 8,000 students visit all kinds of booths to learn about their campus resources, how to get more involved with different groups on campus. It was over 100 degrees but we were smiling and meeting people.

From our multicultural worship night! We sang songs from different cultures that were about Jesus and it was so cool because those songs drew the attention of people from different countries and cultures who also love God. So cool!

Alex on the left baptizing Miles, one of our new student leaders! Christ made such an impact on Miles through campus ministry. We are so grateful for him. His mom drove all the way from San Antonio to see him get baptized!

Sandra, one of my friends and co-missionaries, baptizing Laniah! A Richland transfer who fell in love with Jesus again at Richland and decided to be a student leader at TWU. We are so grateful to God for drawing these young people to himself!

Our first fellowship night!  All those many miles walked, events planned, sweat poured out and faithfulness paid off. you guys for praying for our ministry. Y'all are the best!
